The rapid advancement in the area of Optical Networks provides excellent capacity in terms of Bandwidth. Here, the Optical Network is being used as the backbone network. The aim of this Workshop is to update the knowledge of the participants towards Optical Network and Photonics principles. This workshop will also introduce the participants to the current practices in the field and will help in developing the research aptitude in this area. The topics to be covered are Introduction to Optical Networks and Routing Techniques, Modulation/DeModulation Techniques in Optical Network, Optical Time Division Multiplexing (OTDM), WDM/Single and Multi Hop Networks, Protection and Restoration in Optical Networks, Deep Learning for Design of Photonic Structure, Photonic Crystal Fibers (PCF) and Plasmonics Network, etc. Lectures and Lab/Hands-On Sessions would help to understand it in better way. The short term course on Advances in Biometrics is intended to provide an advanced level understanding of Machine Learning and Deep Learning based methods being developed and used for effective biometrics recognition using various modalities, i.e. Face, Iris, Retina, Hand & Palm, etc. The course will also uncover the problem of deliberate occlusion under covid like scenarios where biometric recognition is necessary with forcing the subjects to remove the face masks and maintaining the ease of collectability of the facial biometric.

Disease has become a common feature for human existence since the beginning of time. Over time, our knowledge of Science and Medicine has been expanded for a better understanding of the biological basis of any disease.
